Committee Member The UK commission meets formally three times a year. It endeavours to involve representatives from all nations and regions in the United Kingdom. Its purpose is to promote geographical education in the UK and to contribute to the wider IGU-CGE mission to strengthen the role of geography and environmental education globally. Although interested in education in the broadest sense – in all settings from early years to Higher Education – its main focus is in the teaching and learning or geography in mainstream schools.
