Description
2019 saw the 19th season of excavation at the multi-period site of Nokalakevi by the collaborative Anglo-Georgian Expedition, of which I have been co-director since 2002. This season, taking place for the whole of July, featured students from Winchester among other institutions.
Layman's description
Archaeological fieldwork of 20ha fortified site in west Georgia, producing evidence of human acitivity at the site from the Bronze Age to the present, represented in 3.5m of stratified archaeological deposits.
