Description

Excavations at Meonstoke, Hampshire, from Neolithic to Anglo-Saxon date with Meon Valley Heritage and Archaeology Group. The 1980s excavation of a Roman villa reused in the Anglo-Saxon period has been supplemented by investigation of a Neolithic oval barrow and a Bronze Age round barrow, and a Romano-Celtic temple with preceding Iron Age ritual activity.

Excavations have produced a long history of activity over some 5000 years.
