Description
We aim to develop new insights into systematic review building on and extending existing work to develop a method for combining meta-analysis and narrative synthesis, enabling integration of findings from diverse study designs to facilitate the synthesis of evidence from both qualitative and quantitative data. This method will be developed in the context of a systematic review of CPD in primary and secondary schools (Paper 1) and the detail of the method will be published in a method paper (Paper 2). This method will then be applied in a further systematic review of CPD within medical education (Paper 3).
