Was it Yesterday? Nostalgia in Contemporary Film and Television

Was it Yesterday? is a large edited collection of work by international film and television scholars examining a recent trend toward nostalgia in this cultural field. As editor of the collection I am writing both the Introduction for the piece and my own chapter on Steven Spielberg's 2018 film Ready Player One. Alongside this I will be editing and putting together roughly 20 papers by scholars primarily from the US and the UK. The project has a contract with SUNY Press and the deadline for manuscript delivery is summer of 2019.
