Where are we now? An examination of teacher beliefs regarding effective EAL practice in Southampton schools

In the absence of any current government (DfE) guidance regarding EAL policy in England, schools are devising their own paths in how to best provide for the needs of children that use English as an additional language. This study examines the journey of three schools that have attended an EAL Hub run by the University of Winchester and Southampton Language Service over the course of one year, documenting any changes in beliefs or practice, and evaluating outcomes for children.
