Abstract

This article offers a critical reflection on a piece entitled 'Is Rural Enterprise God's Business' by Jerry Marshall, at that time CEO of 'germinate, the UK churches' rural resource centre. This article appeared in the same issue of 'Rural Theology' at pages 82-91. My article draws upon Catholic Social Teaching and asks, in particular, how business can serve the Common Good.
